What We've Achieved

Since we launched our first international programme in 2002 we have:

  • Saved over 5,000 lives
  • Established 4,984 women’s groups
  • Worked in 12 different countries in Africa, Asia and Central America
  • Delivered over 30 major international projects
  • Provided evidence to the UK International Development Select Committee’s hearings on UK Aid for Bangladesh, India and Malawi
  • Led the Manifesto for Motherhood coalition which successfully influenced the UK Government’s policy on reproductive, maternal and newborn health
